What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? The Pelham House Function Facility in Dennisport is a project that I am very proud of. Not only was the project completed under an aggressive timeline and through the origins of COVID, but we were able to build a lasting relationship with the ownership group that still continues on today.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Our team’s consistency this year is a testament to their hard work and commitment. Our office handled a majority of the firm’s 150+ investment sales in Boston & New England this year.
What was one of your biggest challenges as a leader and how did you overcome it? Making the sacrifices that it takes to start-up a company and have it grow, but I had the vision that it would work and that I would accomplish it. Vision and mindset is the key.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? My growth into a leadership role on both a personal and professional level. I became an associate principal/partner and realized it was time to make an impact on the community outside of the office. I am an adjunct professor of architecture at my alma mater, Roger Williams,
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? Working with the city of Quincy to support its downtown development guidelines and, more recently, to review the City’s energy code and sustainability initiatives.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? The camaraderie that exists in our company is inspiring. We have an amazing team who is driven to meet our goals. We recently celebrated 15 years in business. Our team came together for different fun activities that culminated with a large party at Encore.
3 skills that you use every day in your position: Effective communication: Especially mindful listening. Good faith negotiating: I strive to be fair to any and all of the parties that I represent and to the persons on the other side of the table. Contract review: I am thorough and detail-oriented. I have learned that time well spent up-front often saves complications and delays as a project progresses.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I was recently promoted to team leader after being the top producer for the last three years. The recognition of my production, along with their confidence in my ability to manage and lead, is humbling.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? My great grandfather founded W.T. Kenney (WTK) in 1939 and we are embarking on our 85th anniversary. I have been working with WTK for 27 years as field painter, estimator, project manager, VP, SVP & now ownership. I am blessed to have experience in nearly every company task through the years.
What was one of your biggest challenges as a leader and how did you overcome it? Running a construction company places me in a unique situation where I interact with a vast spectrum of people. I frequently have the challenge of gaining the trust and respect of everyone involved in a construction project, from a skilled tradesperson to a CEO.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? South Bay Town Center in Dorchester! After years of design and permitting efforts including BPDA, MEPA, Massworks, DOT, creation of new city street grids and more, we are at the final step of roadway acceptance. It feels amazing to bring this from a napkin sketch to a successful completion.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? A couple of years ago we undertook a project on the Massachusetts border for the Nashua Housing and Redevelopment Authority. It was an extremely complicated project, involving the first twinning of 9% and 4% LIHTCs in New Hampshire, the issuance of a $39 million TE bond to support the 4% project, FHLBB-AHP funds and other funding sources.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I am proud of the work we have accomplished within Boston Logan International Airport. We have completed and are currently completing multiple concession programs, high-end lounge work and infrastructure work that is vital to the operations of the airport.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? West Shore celebrated its landmark 50th acquisition earlier this year with the addition of Atlas Bluewood Apartments, located in the rapidly growing North Dallas region of Texas, to its portfolio of diverse multifamily real estate assets throughout the United States.
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? To further Shawmut’s commitment to DEI, this year, I was proud to launch our Diverse Partnerships Program – an initiative that provides more opportunities for diverse vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. The program enables economic, social, and community opportunity
What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I was an instrumental team member helping to secure Fulcrum’s largest dollar value single project. The project consisted of re-positioning a 250,000 s/f former office building into a state-of-the-art corporate R&D and secure lab space building for a national defense contractor.
What was one of your biggest challenges as a leader and how did you overcome it? Leading the company remotely throughout a large part of the pandemic was a great challenge: I believe that I managed Covid reasonably well by being clear that I understood that our people were struggling, this was normal, and that it was okay to ask me and their colleagues for help.
