Sevigney of Plimoth Investment Advisors receives Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation

According to Plimoth Investment Advisors, Sandra Sevigney, vice president and trust officer, has been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. The AIF designation signifies training in fiduciary responsibility and follows a rigorous two-day course and examination. Sevigney has more than 34 years experience in the trust and employee benefit industry. In her role as vice president and trust officer, she is responsible for business development with respect to all retirement plans, including 401 (k), pension, profit sharing, non-qualified plans and IRAs. Sevigney earned her B.S. degree in Business from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. She received a Certification Professional Education Program certificate from the College for Financial Planning, is a graduate of the New England School of Banking Trust School at Williams College and holds Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers. A current board member of the AARP Money Management Program sponsored by Coastline Elderly/Bristol Elder Services, Sevigney also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Steppingstone, Inc., Fall River, MA, and is a member (and former Board member) of Bristol County Estate Planning Council. She volunteers as a member of the fundraising committee of the St. Mary's Education Scholarship Fund and is a past Junior Achievement volunteer. Sevigney lives in Assonet with her husband Mark; the couple has a daughter and two grandchildren. She is actively involved in her church and in her spare time bowls with the St. Bernard's Bowling League, enjoys golf and watching Patriots and Red Sox games.
