ShowPlace ICON opens at One Seaport in Boston
Boston, MA In a major boon to Boston’s cinema scene, which has by and large laid dormant for nearly two decades, the trailblazers at Kerasotes officially opened the first ShowPlace ICON in the state on February 8. It spans 44,000 s/f. As one of the most technologically advanced theatres in the country, ShowPlace ICON at Seaport transforms movie going with everything from laser projection to Dolby Atmos sound to heated recliner seats.
“ShowPlace ICON is more than a movie theatre, it is an immersive experience. This is a remarkable draw for the Seaport, and the greatest place in the country to see a movie. The ICON is truly an anchor to the neighborhood,” said Todd Norley, vice president of leasing at WS Development.
