Simon to bring 114,000 s/f Life Time facility at North Shore Mall

Peabody, MA According to Simon, a global leader in premier shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations, Life Time, the nation’s only healthy way of lifebrand, is coming to Peabody’s Northshore Mall with a planned 114,000 s/f healthy living, healthy aging, and healthy entertainment destination. Scheduled to open in 2020, it will be the company’s fifth location in the greater Boston area.

The three-story Life Time building will include a ground-level, outdoor resort-like aquatic area featuring lap and leisure pools, whirlpools, and a bistro. Other highlights include: Studio and training areas, a full-service LifeCafe, a full-service LifeSpa, and a Kids Academy for children from three months to 11 years old which will include a host of classes designed to foster healthy habits from an early age including physical activities, arts and crafts, and language.

“We are thrilled to have a state-of-the-art Life Time facility at Northshore Mall,” said Mark Whiting, Northshore’s Mall manager. “It is a perfect complement to our outstanding retail, dining and entertainment offerings.”

The news about Life Time comes on the heels of the opening of The Promenade at Northshore Mall which includes a fresh look on interior elements such as new flooring, seating, and lighting and many exterior elements such as new outdoor seating, landscaping and an outdoor stage which will provide musical performances and children’s entertainment June through August. The Promenade has also enhanced the center’s dining offerings that include: Bancroft & Co. (now open), Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill (now open), Caffe Nero (now open), and hop + grind and Amigo’s Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar (opening this fall).
