The Diamond Group brokers 4 leases and one sale transaction

The Diamond Group brokered following recent transactions. At 220 Massachusetts Ave. Steve Kelley and George Gibson of The Diamond Group, represented the new tenants Flour Bakery and Central Bottle. Central Bottle will specialize and sell fine wine and liquor, leasing about 1,800 s/f. Flour Bakery, with two other locations in Boston's South End and Fort Point areas, opened its first location in Cambridge, leasing 1,800 s/f. At 57 JFK St. in Harvard Square, representing both landlord and three tenants, Steve Kelley and George Gibson have leased over 10,000 s/f. The new tenants include the following: Faron, a full service beauty salon and spa, headed by Faron Fares former senior stylist of Diego; Bull, a Korean barbeque restaurant, bringing the first of its kind to Harvard Square, with a sister restaurant Privus in Allston; and Maharaja, a new Indian restaurant with ties to India Palace. Steve Kelley and George Gibson, represented the buyers in the sale of the former Forest Café at 1682 Massachusetts Ave. for the sale price of $1.175 million. The new owners have opened the doors to Rafiki Bistro, a new "eco-aware tavern". Rafiki, Swahili for "friend", has been completely renovated with much of its interior from reused materials and specializes in both organic food and liquor. 56 JFK St. in Harvard Square has been leased by George Gibson, representing both landlord and tenant. After a year of looking for the perfect space, Mint Julep Alums, Meredith Donaldson and Rachel Wentworth opened Forty Winks, a lingerie boutique carrying loungewear and accessories for women. At 285 Third St. in Kendall Square, Steve Kelley leased 2,400 s/f to Voltage Café. Owner, Lucy Valena, opening Voltage Coffee and Art, will not only serve high-end coffee with homemade syrups and beans, but will also sell artwork. The Diamond Group, founded in 1998, is a full service commercial real estate company. Headquartered in Harvard Square, the company also has an office in Framingham. The firm specializes in providing its New England clients - landlords, tenants, developers and restaurants - with a "boutique approach" service.

Goldberg of Spire Investments purchases Beverly portfolio for $9.2m

Beverly, MA Jay Goldberg, president and owner of Spire Investments has completed the purchase of four multifamily buildings. The 33-unit purchase amounted to a sale price of $9.2 million or $278,788 per unit. The properties are all located in downtown and consist of one- and two-bedroom units.
