Portsmouth, NH The Kane Company (Kane) has completed the new 52,600 s/f global headquarters for Aclara within the city’s Pease Tradeport submarket. The 30 New Hampshire Ave. address is undergoing a substantial renovation to accommodate Aclara’s relocation into the market.

The industrial/office campus will serve as Aclara’s new global headquarters, an end-to-end smart infrastructure solutions partner offering metering and edge devices, advanced metering infrastructure, consumer engagement software, and installation services.

Kane renovated the property and developed the two-story office component of the property for Ingersoll Rand in 2002.

As part of the property’s next strategic phase, the company launched a multi-million dollar repositioning plan to transform it into a best-in-class trophy building that offers functionality, amenities, and a prime location in the city’s submarket.

“We are excited to deliver a modern and innovative campus to Aclara that supports our initiative in creating the next step in the elevation of Portsmouth’s thriving office market,” said Michael Kane, chief executive officer of Kane. “We have long believed that the Pease Tradeport region continues to be one of the most dynamic and attractive areas in the entire northern New England region. We are proud to be a part of its continued transformation.”

“It is very rewarding to learn Aclara will be locating their global headquarters at Pease International Tradeport. The Kane Company was instrumental in identifying Aclara’s long-term needs and the amenities required in a modern facility,” said Paul Brean, executive director of Pease Development Authority. “Based on that insight, Pease Development Authority and The Kane Company were able to formalize an agreement that will result in a global supplier basing operations in New Hampshire. We look forward to welcoming Aclara to their new campus environment and introducing them to all that Pease has to offer.”
