Epping Commons - Epping, NH

Andrew Levy, MEG Companies

According to Andrew Levy, CCIM of the MEG Companies, with the last two leases to Green Earth Baby Works, and Tiger Lilies Floral Boutique, Epping Commons is now 100% leased.
Green Earth Baby Works is a small web-based company focused on providing earth friendly diapers and related wears to new mothers everywhere. Their goal is to change preconceptions of what many of their parents and grandparents have told them about cloth diapers - the new generation of diapers is simpler to use, easier to maintain, less prone to odor, more durable, and almost as convenient to use as disposables.
Tiger Lilies Floral Boutique, is a family-owned and operated full service florist and boutique proudly serving the Epping area. Customers can enjoy online shopping with secure 24-hour ordering right at their fingertips. Their knowledgeable staff is ready to assist with placing orders for local delivery or anywhere in the world.
Epping Commons is a 24,000 s/f retail/office property located on Rte. 125 the new "miracle mile" in Epping. This beautifully constructed building features earth tones and cultured stone. In addition to the first level retail space there are spacious office units for businesses on the second level according to Al Guibord & Ken Szymansky the principals of The Stove Shoppe and Fences Unlimited, and also the developers of the project.
The Stove Shoppe and Fences Unlimited anchor the center. Their professional sales and service crews will take care of all your stove and fireplace needs. They have been providing exceptional sales and service throughout New England for over 30 Years. The Stove Shoppe has the largest selection of fireplaces, stoves and inserts from Jotul, Lopi, Avalon, Regency, Scan, Hearthstone, Heat-N-Glo, FireplaceXtrordinair, Town & Country and more. If you can dream it, we can do it with fire!
The first tenant was the Orient Pearl Asian Restaurant. This was a very significant lease as they took almost 5,000 s/f, signed a very long-term lease and invested a tremendous amount of capital to transform the shell space into a gorgeous Asian restaurant with its popular raised Sushi bar, in addition to the dining areas and full service bar.
Epping Meats & Marketplace followed in 3,600 s/f recognizing there was a need for a butcher shop in the area and Epping Commons was the prime location.
Edward Jones opened last year in 1,200 s/f. Their financial advisors offer a personal approach to investment and retirement planning in order to reach your financial goals. Other first floor retailers include: Just Beading Around-a specialty bead store owned by Neil Santerre's. They have a huge selection of beads and the tools, and experience needed to make your beading memorable and fun.
Office leases were signed by Anthony Mercadante Financial Services, A Step Up Bookkeeping Services, Charles Gordon Insurance Group, and The Appliance Guy, Expert Appliance Repair.

According to Levy, who was responsible for the marketing of this new ground-up development, "This was an exciting project to work on, though we weren't expecting the monkey wrench that was thrown in."
"Construction started in 2008 right as the real estate market and economy hit turbulent times. When Al & Ken broke ground there was no Market Basket at Brickyard Square, and the credit crunch had just begun. We always had tremendous demand from tenants wanting to be a part of this development but banks weren't lending, equity lines couldn't be obtained, even the SBA wasn't a source of funding. No less than 40 deals with readily willing and able tenants couldn't get to the finished line and finalize a lease. Through mere perseverance we are happy to have achieved this milestone today, four years later."
