Lincoln, RI The Northern Rhode Island Board of REALTORS (NRIBR) has awarded a scholarship to high school seniors Matthew Mardo, of Lincoln High School, and Kailey Brodeur, of Cumberland High School. Debby Smith, Charitable Works committee chair, along with the board of directors, presented the awards to Mardo and Brodeur on
April 20. 

“The candidates were really outstanding this year and we had a very competitive pool of qualified and talented students,” said Smith. “The committee was pleased to offer Mardo and Brodeur our 2017 scholarship award in the amount of $1,000 each. We wish them both much success in their future academic pursuits!” 

Each year the local REALTOR organization, located in Cumberland, provides two scholarships to students in the Northern Rhode Island area. The money is raised by donations from the REALTOR membership. Information and criteria may be found on the board’s website at www.nribr.com each January.
