Newton, MA At The Village Bank’s recent annual meeting, president and CEO Joseph De Vito announced the following officer promotions:

• Lisa Boccabella will assume the new title of senior vice president, chief risk officer. Boccabella will continue to manage the strategic direction of enterprise risk management, including BSA, fraud, information security, compliance, and physical security. She joined The Village Bank in January 2014 as vice president of bank secrecy and security. In April 2020, she was promoted to senior vice president, enterprise risk management.

• John Karacalidis will assume the new title of senior vice president, chief operating officer. Karacalidis currently directs the operations, information technology, and digital banking departments. He joined The Village Bank in March 2014 as senior vice president, enterprise risk officer. In April 2020, he assumed the title of senior vice president, operations, IT, and digital banking.

• Regina Farnese was promoted to vice president, branch manager. Farnese joined The Village Bank in February 2021 as assistant vice president, branch manager, and has led the team in Auburndale.

• Lilly Trainor was promoted to vice president, training manager. Trainor joined The Village Bank in January 2009 as branch manager in Newtonville, and in May 2009, she received an officer promotion to assistant treasurer. In May 2010, she was promoted to assistant vice president, branch administrator, and held various positions in retail banking until June 2014, when she transitioned to the role of AVP, training manager.

• Chad Donahue was promoted to assistant vice president, senior risk analyst and security officer. Donahue joined The Village Bank in August 2014 as a Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering analyst. In September 2020, he was promoted to assistant treasurer, senior risk analyst and security officer.

• Danielle Melo was promoted to assistant treasurer, data analytics manager. Melo joined The Village Bank in November 2021 as data analytics manager and has overseen the department since that time.

• Seton Murphy was promoted to assistant treasurer, branch manager. Murphy joined The Village Bank in July 2023 as branch manager and was responsible for leading the opening of the bank’s newest branch location in Waltham.

• John Perez was promoted to assistant treasurer, help desk manager. Perez joined The Village Bank in August 2015 as an information technology intern/desk support associate. In March 2016, he was promoted to help desk administrator, and in June 2021 to help desk manager.
