Tranzon Auction Properties sells 4 properties for $1.5 million

December 01, 2009 - Northern New England

220 Station Road, Motor Home & RV Super Store - Auburn, ME

In the culmination of a month-long accelerated marketing campaign, Tranzon Auction Properties sold over $1.5 million in real and personal property at auction.
The four properties involved included the 28,300 s/f Motor Home & RV Super Center at 220 Station Rd., (along with related office and operating/garage equipment), as well as three sites in Auburn and Minot totaling 138 acres with a variety of residential components totaling 8,900 s/f.
Tranzon was well acquainted with the collateral, having first marketed it for auction in March of this year. A bankruptcy filing halted the initial campaign. So when Maine's Bankruptcy Court ordered that the assets be sold at public auction, Tranzon Auction Props. was the choice to conduct the sale.
Twenty nine registered bidders participated in the public out-cry auction, some interested in the 10 equipment lots, and some wanting to own the RV Center, or a residence in Minot with its own plane hangar and airstrip.
Auctioneer Tom Saturley said "the turnout today shows that in any economic climate, quality real estate attracts strong buyers."
