Appledore Engineering office building

TRB Development Group, Inc. completed a new, custom designed, 12,500 s/f, $2.2 million office building for Appledore Engineering. TRB worked with Team Design to create a sustainable, low impact environmental design and used materials that reduce energy consumption while creating a bright, comfortable, and inviting work place. An example of this is biodegradable Marmoleum natural flooring selected by the owner and the architect.
The building features cathedral ceilings with exposed, rustic beams in the lobby, conservatory-style conference room, and engineering center; a 17' tall Cultured Stone fireplace; an exercise loft; custom millwork and finish carpentry throughout; and interior finishes that have low volatile organic compound content.
Hardi-Planc exterior wood siding and the Cultured Stone façade exemplify the grace and elegance of the design and foam insulated roof panels, low-e glass, and a state-of-the-art variable refrigerant flow (VFR) heating/cooling system meet the principles of sustainable building practices desired by the owner.
Despite the snowiest winter in many years, TRB completed Appledore Engineering's new building on time.
