Upcoming REFA Programs and Charitable Golf Beneficiaries named

On April 29, REFA will be hosting a Fundamentals Program on Commercial Real Estate Appraisals. The panel will feature: David Cary, MAI, MRICS, senior managing director, Integra Realty Resources; Emmet Logue, MAI, CRE, executive vice president, NAI Hunneman & director, appraisal & consulting; Kay Maneen, MAI, senior bank review appraiser, People's United Bank and James Masterman, shareholder, Greenberg Traurig LLP. The expert panel will delve into the appraisal industry and provide an update on what is changing as the commercial real estate market becomes increasingly active. The program will be held at Goodwin Procter at 53 State St., from 7:45 - 9:00 a.m. On June 4 as part the Industry Leaders Series, Mark Howard-Johnson, managing director Global Securities Management, BlackRock will be joining REFA for a breakfast program. The program will be held at Morgan Lewis Bockius LLP, One Federal St. from 7:45 - 9:00 a.m. REFA's Industry Leaders Series is held twice a year and features a prominent industry leader with a national perspective. Past speakers include: David Neithercut, president & CEO, Equity Residential; Anthony Frammartino, principal, the Townsend Group; Pam Herbst, managing director, head of direct investment group, AEW Capital Management; & Mike LaBelle, SVP & CFO, Boston Properties. Now in its 12th year, REFA's Annual Charitable Golf Tournament is a highlight of the summer to help raise money for local non-profits. This year, the REFA Golf Committee has selected FamilyAid Boston and Rosie's Place as the 2015 Beneficiaries. The REFA Charitable Golf Tournament will be on Monday, July 20 at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass. Close to 140 REFA members and guests will participate in the golf outing, followed by a reception and awards dinner.
