IREM president's message: Past and future IREM events

On behalf of the Boston chapter, we would like to thank George Fantini of Fantini & Gorga for speaking at our January Economic Forecast meeting. Fantini provided a detailed analysis of our past and current economic conditions. In addition, we would like to congratulate Fern Mullin and Mayra Figueroa. Mullin was recently inducted as a CPM member and Figueroa was inducted as an ARM member. All of our members and friends had a wonderful time at our annual Skiing Trip at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire. The weather was great and snow conditions were perfect. The month of March is full with comprehensive educational courses. Please see below for the upcoming events: *March 5: Ethics 800 course. This course is being held at the Peabody Properties Corporate Headquarters at 536 Granite St., Braintree Mass. *March 11: Managing Real Estate Maintenance Operations - This course is being held at the Peabody Properties Corporate Headquarters. *March 18: Monthly Business Luncheon. Legislative Issues. Our guest speaker is Harold Brown from the Hamilton Co. This luncheon is being held at the Four Point Sheraton in Norwood, Mass. *March 23: In collaboration with the New England Affordable Housing Management Association, a maintenance workshop is being held throughout the day at Gillette Stadium. Numerous topics will be reviewed, including OSHA inspections, disaster planning, ice dams, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair and bed bugs.
