CBRE and JLL raise $20,000 for injured high school athlete

Norwood, MA Leading commercial real estate firms CB Richard Ellis and Jones Lang LaSalle teamed up and laced up to raise over $20,000 in support of local Norwood High School hockey player Matt Brown and his family. The companies met for an annual hockey game on February 17th at the Steriti Memorial Hockey Rink, with all proceeds going directly to support 15-year old Matt Brown who suffered spinal cord trauma in a recent high school hockey game.

"This is a special time when we can combine fun, heartfelt support, and competition to help the Brown family and uplift their spirit," said Jones Lang LaSalle managing director Phil DeSimone.

Through employee contributions and matching corporate donations, CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle raised the combined total of more than $20,000 on behalf of the Browns to benefit Matt's rehabilitation.

"We're happy to get out here and raise money to support this cause," said Ogden White, senior vice president/partner at CB Richard Ellis. "Every goal scored was a small way in which we could contribute and we wish Matt and his family the very best during this time." Jones Lang LaSalle won the game 4 to 3.

More information on Brownie Points, the fund established to assist the Brown family in Matt's recovery, can be found at www.mattbrownnumber3.org. A fundraising event to benefit the Matt Brown Rehab and Recovery Fund will be held on April 30th at Gillette Stadium.
