Burgess Properties Inc. has leased 29,000 s/f of retail space to Swedish virtual reality gaming operator, Boda Borg, at 86-90 Pleasant St.
With seven locations already throughout Europe, a $3 million transformation of the Pleasant St. property will mark Boda Borg's first opening in the U.S. Boda Borg patrons participate in a series of "Quests", or live puzzle-solving adventures, that vary in difficulty and style - from mental challenges to difficult physical adventures, spanning multiple floors of territory. The concept is intended to appeal to families, students, adults, and companies conducting team-building exercises. Boda Borg Boston is targeting a June 2015 opening.
86-90 Pleasant St. was the longtime home of Sparks Departments Store, that went out of business in 2014. Boda Borg joins a large group of new restaurants and innovative businesses that have breathed new life into downtown.
