12-12-2012 - The South Shore/Canal Regional Economic Development District offers Community Economic Development Boot Camp

The South Shore/Canal Regional Economic Development District are pleased to be offering a Community Economic Development Boot Camp on December 12, at Indian Pond Country Club. This day long boot camp features discussions with the industries top professionals centered around all aspects of community economic development planning, strategies and growth trends. By participating, attendees join their colleagues along the South Shore and Canal to build a cohesive economic development effort towards job creation/retention and tax base growth in their community. Any municipal planning department staff, municipal volunteer boards and committees dealing with development issues, local and regional regulatory agencies, nonprofit development agency staff, or anyone in the public or private sector related to workforce development, training and entrepreneurship are welcomed to attend the boot camp. This workshop is free for municipal employees, current municipal boards and committee members. $25 for non municipal employees and boards. Includes continental breakfast & lunch. To register for this event, contact the Plymouth Area Chamber no later than December 6th. The Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce serves over 750 businesses in the towns of Carver, Duxbury, Halifax, Hanson, Kingston, Marshfield, Pembroke, Plymouth, and Plympton.
