16,000 s/f Trader Joe's to open soon at Patriot Place

Trader Joe's, a unique, neighborhood grocery store with foods and beverages ranging from the everyday to the exotic, plans to open at Patriot Place in 2012. "Without question, the No. 1 comment we receive when soliciting customer feedback is 'You should get a Trader Joe's,'" said Patriot Place general manager Brian Earley. "We're happy to give our customers what they want." The 16,000 s/f store will be Trader Joe's 18th Massachusetts location, and the only one within a 15-mile radius of Foxborough. Trader Joe's has leased existing space in Patriot Place's South Marketplace between Christmas Tree Shops and Staples. The store will feature a festive décor that mixes traditional Trader Joe's elements, such as cedar covered walls and Hawaiian motifs, with a local flair that includes art celebrating the town of Foxborough and the New England Patriots. Trader Joe's carries an extensive array of domestic and imported foods and beverages. "Trader Joe's meets a demand in the marketplace and introduces a new category to the offerings at Patriot Place, providing unique and exciting everyday grocery shopping to the retail, dining and entertainment elements our visitors love," said Earley. Patriot Place is a shopping, dining and entertainment destination located adjacent to Gillette Stadium on Rte. 1. Patriot Place features large and boutique retailers, 17 casual to high-end restaurants and other nightlife venues.
