What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2019?
The creation of The Breakaway at Salem Common, a luxury 18-unit apartment rental property which I am currently transforming from an abandoned former Knights of Columbus building is hands-down the most exciting endeavor from my many projects of 2019. Located in Salem, Mass., the structure was an old mansion in a prime location on the quiet side of Salem Common and attracted a slew of competitive bidders. After winning the deal and obtaining a number of permits (including overcoming the single family-use allowance), I began development. Completion is expected at the end of summer/fall 2020. I can’t wait to finalize the transformation of this historic building – while still maintaining touches of its original character – into some of the nicest luxury apartments the North Shore has seen!
