What’s one challenge you’ve overcome in your career so far, and what did it teach you? As a litigator, one of the greatest challenges I’ve faced is navigating the wide range of personalities involved in real estate disputes. These matters often require not only legal acumen but also the ability to manage differing perspectives and diffuse tensions. Over time, I’ve learned to adapt my approach to fit each situation, developing strategies grounded in empathy, patience, and clear communication. Becoming a parent has deepened these skills – teaching me the value of listening, understanding, and recognizing the human element in every interaction.

If you could give advice to someone just starting out in your field, what would it be? My advice to someone just starting out in their legal career is to find great mentors and stay curious. You can learn something from everyone you work with – whether it’s a colleague, client, or even opposing counsel. Everyone has their own working style and expectations, and taking the time to understand those differences can go a long way in building strong relationships, even with people you don’t immediately connect with on a personal level. In the end, the more you invest in asking questions and staying engaged, the more rewarding the experience will be.

What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? I’m very proud of my recent elevation to Partner at Casner & Edwards. This milestone reflects years of dedication, meaningful client relationships, and the trust and support of my colleagues and mentors.

Who has played a pivotal role in your development, and how have they influenced you? I am fortunate to have strong professional and personal support systems. While many wonderful attorneys have guided me throughout my legal career, my greatest inspiration has been my mother. Juggling a full- time career in the insurance industry while raising a family, she demonstrated that women can thrive in both their professional and personal lives. Her example instilled in me the drive to pursue the work I do today.
