What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? In addition to being heavily involved in the Boston CRE market and executing local projects with local team members, I’ve worked on 17 projects around the United States and through Canada for multiple clients. After completing projects for them locally and fostering trust, our clients have engaged our firm to PM their projects remotely. I’ve shown continued success at a high level and have been able to cultivate relationships with CRE partners in various major cities throughout the country.
What’s one challenge you’ve overcome in your career so far, and what did it teach you? Early in my career, I observed some initial hesitation from executive clients when working with younger project managers. Understandably, these leaders often oversee high- stakes initiatives and naturally prefer experienced leadership, which can sometimes be associated with age. I learned not to take this personally. More importantly, I learned that trust comes from results, consistency, and shared investment. Once clients see my dedication and the care I put into delivering outcomes, organic trust, and mutual respect often develop, which can be more rewarding than the project’s success itself.
If you could give advice to someone just starting out in your field, what would it be? Leave your ego at the door. Be confident but stay humble – no matter how much experience you have, you’ll never know everything. Continued exposure brings knowledge, but new challenges, unfamiliar situations, and unexpected variables will always exist. The key is to rely on your core skillset but continue to be eager to learn and know when to lean on industry partners to leverage their knowledge or expertise.
Who has played a pivotal role in your development, and how have they influenced you? I’ve been fortunate to develop numerous relationships with mentors who have helped me throughout my career. Most recently, Michael Bogdan, the founder and president of Avail Project Management, has been an integral part of my continued development and successes. Mike’s commitment to maintaining the high level of quality that’s engrained in Avail PM’s DNA has benefited me in a multitude of ways. The continued access to his wealth of knowledge and wide breadth of relationships in the CRE industry has opened many doors and allowed me to grow significantly.
