What current or recently completed project, accomplishment or initiative are you most excited about, and why does it matter for your team, clients or community? One initiative I’m most proud of is continuing to build on a strong foundation of people processes while modernizing them to support growth, development, and engagement across the company. In an industry traditionally focused on project outcomes, we’re placing equal emphasis on career development, feedback, compensation transparency, and culture. Through clear career paths, structured performance conversations, and inclusive onboarding and training, we’re helping employees see construction as a long-term, fulfilling career – not just a job – strengthening retention, leadership, and team connection.
What is one piece of advice or perspective you would share with women beginning their careers in the construction industry? Be confident in the value you bring, even if you’re one of the only women in the room. Construction needs diverse perspectives, strong communicators, and relationship-builders as much as technical expertise. Ask questions, seek mentors, and step into opportunities that may feel out of reach. Leadership in this industry is evolving – I’ve seen it firsthand at Erland – and women are helping shape that change every day. There is absolutely room to grow, lead, and thrive here.
What habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated during a busy week? Morning walks with my puppy Bauer clear my head, strengthen our bond, and keep me grounded, energized, and ready for the day.
