What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months? My greatest professional achievement in the last 12 months was successfully completing my first project as a project manager. It was a complex $4 million roof project involving numerous shutdowns and coordination efforts. I had to ensure client satisfaction and keep million-dollar laboratories watertight downstairs.

What has been the driving force behind your success in the AEC industry? The driving force behind my success in the AEC industry is a combination of my inner drive, the support of my team – especially those in the field such as superintendents and hardworking subcontractors – and the belief and encouragement from my executives. 

What is your favorite / most beneficial part of Women in Construction week? My favorite and most beneficial part of Women in Construction week is the sense of camaraderie and support among women. I believe in the power of teamwork and am fortunate to be surrounded by spiritually wise and talented women in this business.

Who or what inspired you to join the AEC industry? I was inspired to join the AEC industry by my husband, who is a civil engineer. While it wasn’t a direct inspiration, his career path paved the way for me to explore opportunities in this field.

What are your goals for the future? My goals for the future are to continue learning and sharing knowledge with others who are passionate about construction and project management. Additionally, I aim to incorporate new technologies and AI into my work to enhance efficiency in construction management.
