November 24, 2009 - Retail
Patriot Place and 5 Wits, the company behind the TOMB in Boston, plan to open two fully-immersive interactive adventure experiences, Espionage and 20,000 Leagues, at the 1.3 million s/f shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
Both adventure attractions are scheduled to open in spring 2010 in Patriot Place's north lifestyle center, located adjacent to Gillette Stadium.
"5 Wits is very excited to make Patriot Place the home for our two newest and most ingenious adventures yet," said Matthew DuPlessie, president of 5 Wits. "These one of a kind experiences will give your family the opportunity to be the hero - a secret agent or a deep sea explorer - in a way you just can't recreate in a movie or video game. This is real adventure."
The hour-long, interactive walk-through adventures will transport guests into fantastic worlds using Disney-caliber set design and special effects. Guests must work in groups to complete a series of puzzles, riddles and tasks. Each decision made by the group affects the storyline and outcome, making the experience different with each visit.
The two adventure attractions will be the latest additions to Patriot Place's varied entertainment offerings which include the award-winning Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon, a state of the art, 14-screen Cinema de Lux, the first Showcase Live entertainment venue and the 32-acre Nature Trail and Cranberry Bog at Patriot Place.
