907 Main hotel in Cambridge, MA to join the Lark Hotels collection

Cambridge, MA Lark, the premium development and management company encompassing multiple boutique hospitality brands, will take on 907 Main, previously operated by Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy, as part of its signature portfolio of Lark Hotels properties. Lark’s industry expertise will allow 907 Main to reopen in a matter of weeks, with an estimated reopening timeline of early December.

“In a situation like this, our team is equipped to step in and seamlessly take on hotel management to resume occupancy very quickly,” said Lark founder and chairman, Rob Blood. “In addition to our branded hotel collections like Lark Hotels, we have independent properties under management that bring the entire portfolio to more than 60 hotels. Proven systems in place like our streamlined booking system, Mews, allow our team to get a hotel back up and running with ease. With unique charm and an ideal location that is steps away from the city’s cultural district and life sciences hub, we were excited to jump on the opportunity to bring 907 Main into our collection, and to work with their incredible owners, T.O. Johnson, Tim Johnson, and Patrick Barrett III.”

Located in Central Sq., 907 Main is a 67-room boutique hotel tucked within a brick brownstone. Each guest room features large windows and exposed brick. Several food and beverage concepts are also located within the hotel. At the base of 907 Main is Althea, a neighborhood restaurant from the team behind Viale. SaiGon Babylon is a rooftop restaurant and bar serving elevated Viet cuisine and craft cocktails. On the sweeter side, Praline Patisserie offers handcrafted French pastries, and iconic ice cream shop, Toscanini’s, scoops handmade premium ice cream.

907 Main honors the building’s 19th century architecture while seamlessly combining a contemporary style to create an atmosphere that is chic and vibrant. The space is versatile and inviting to guests who are visiting for business, travel, and fun. Untraditional meeting spaces welcome up to 190 guests for work or play.

Lark is best known for its hallmark hotel portfolios, including its signature Lark Hotels, AWOL Hotels & Resorts, Blind Tiger Guest Houses, and Bluebird by Lark. But the company’s largest hotel collection is its independent arm, which allows owners of independent hotels the option to maintain their property’s identity, while Lark’s experienced team provides customized management solutions for day-to-day operations, hiring, and marketing services to maximize owner cash flow.

In 2025, seven Lark properties were awarded the Michelin Keys from Michelin Guide, a coveted honor that recognizes the country’s most outstanding accommodations.

Lark’s most recent openings were The Bow Hotel, a reimagined hotel tucked within a historic warehouse in Portsmouth, and AWOL Stowe, the third location of its emerging AWOL brand in the heart of Stowe, Vermont, complete with an outdoor Nordic spa deck and free-standing A-frame cabins. In late 2024, the brand’s growth accelerated rapidly upon forming a joint venture with contextual brand and operator, Life House.
