A.W. Perry appoints O’Day as president

Boston, MA According to A.W. Perry, Susan Perry O’Day has been appointed president of the company. O’Day becomes the 10th president of this privately held real estate firm established in 1884 by Alonzo Perry and follows in the footsteps of the late Rich Beal. In this role she will oversee the overall strategic direction and operations of the company

A great-great granddaughter of the founder, O’Day has served on the company’s board of directors for more than 20 years. Her grandfather Arthur Wilcox and uncle Thomas Teuten also served as presidents of the company. Over her 35 year career, she also served in management positions with Bristol Myers Squibb and CSX and most recently retired as executive vice president and chief information officer of The Walt Disney Co. and she is excited to be relocating back to the Boston area. O’Day proudly serves on the executive board of directors of Special Olympics 2022.

 “The loss of Rich Beal has been difficult for all. He was a strong business and community leader and a wonderful person. I am honored to follow in his footsteps as well as those of my family members before him.
