Acella completes café renovation at Linden Ponds Senior Living Community

Hingham, MA Acella Construction Corp., a leader in construction management throughout greater Boston, has completed a $1.17 million renovation and expansion of the Harbor Café at Linden Ponds, an Erickson Senior Living facility located at 300 Linden Ponds Way.

The 15-week project transformed the existing Oakleaf Clubhouse Harbor Café into a more welcoming and functional environment for dining, socializing, and food service.

Key interior upgrades include a 9Wood acoustical plank ceiling and custom Arktura Softspan acoustical suspended ceiling with baffles on aircraft cables for improved sound quality and visual warmth, a cast stone fireplace hearth, a custom two-tier chandelier crafted from acrylic and metal, and Muuto Under the Bell pendant lamps. The popular casual dining space was also enhanced by new flooring, millwork, countertops, paint, and wallpaper. A new beverage station and bussing area as well as new kitchen equipment including a pizza conveyer and ice cream wells were also added to expand the offerings and efficiency of the quick service stations. To minimize disruption to residents and staff, construction was scheduled during early morning off-hours.

BCT Design Group served as the project architect, with Bala Consulting Engineers providing mechanical, engineering, and plumbing (MEP) services.

“At Acella, we recognize that spaces like the Harbor Café are not only dining areas, but also places where community happens,” said Saul Shrader, president of Acella Construction. “We’re proud to have played a role in creating a warm and well-designed environment that enhances both the resident and staff experience.”
