Alvarado, Santiago and Parsons of SVN | Parsons handle $2.9m sale

Cambridge, MA SVN | Parsons Commercial Group | Boston has completed the $2.9 million sale of 136 Appleton St., also known as The Sabbatical House.

The demand from investors was extremely strong for an asset of this caliber. Senior commercial real estate advisors, Marci Alvarado, Marilyn Santiago and Jake Parsons of SVN | Parsons represented the seller, Diane Cotman. The buyers were Scott Root and Cocoa Cailer, and were represented by Coldwell Banker, Cambridge.

The four-unit, 4,450 s/f Sabbatical House is located in Huron Village area of the city. This property has been featured in Natural Home Magazine,  the Boston Business Journal and The Boston Sunday Globe

The building is located near Harvard Sq., off Brattle St. and close to Harvard, MIT and many other institutions. 

The multi-family was completely re-built in 2000 and features first class workmanship and energy efficient systems. 

Alvarado said, “The property was fully rented at the time of sale. The new owners will continue to operate as a rental property.”
