Summer is almost here, so ASM’s annual golf tournament is right around the corner. If you haven’t registered your foursome or sponsorship and wish to join us, make sure you do soon to reserve your spot.
It has been a busy couple of months providing excellent programming for our members. In May, we hosted Peter Barletta from OSHA to give an update on heat-related injuries and illnesses on worksites. As summer approaches, it is essential to remember and be prepared for hot weather and its effects on workers in the field.
Also in May, we hosted a Lunch & Learn Webinar with Document Crunch, an AI program that helps companies evaluate contracts and other legal documents. ASM aims to introduce our members to resources like Document Crunch as technology advances.
Early in June, we also hosted a “Negotiating Subcontracts Workshop” with three of the top construction attorneys in the region. Attorneys David Wilson from Corwin & Corwin, Michael Sams from Kenney & Sams, and Joe Barra from Robinson + Cole provided industry insight that can help any company, big or small. This workshop took place at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester to allow our western and central Massachusetts area members to attend one of our programs more easily. We hope to offer more programming in this area in the future.
On July 10th, ASM will host its 29th Annual Golf Tournament at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth. Registrations are filling up, so please register to ensure your spot.
