Stratford, CT  According to Sean Cahill, principal and managing director of Avison Young’s Fairfield/Westchester office, the firm has completed a 5,744 s/f lease on behalf of tenant, Neurological Specialists, PC, at Merritt 8 Corporate Park, 99 Hawley Ln. Avison Young associate Eva Kornreich negotiated the 10-year lease on behalf of Neurological Specialists, PC on the main floor of the building.

Neurological Specialists will consolidate two existing locations in the new practice space at Merritt 8 Corporate Park. Merritt 8 Owner, LLC is the property owner and was represented in negotiations by Joseph Coci.

The new office offers access to the Merritt Pkwy., Rte. 8, and Rte. 108. The building is located across the street from Hawley Lane Mall and the Trumbull Marriott. The largest tenants in the building are Yale New Haven Health Services and New York Life Insurance Company. 

In addition to a full medical office build-out, the landlord will add a handicap ramp and ADA electric doors to the main building entrance. Handicap accessible restrooms will also be added to the tenant’s space.

“Demand for medical space is a bright spot in commercial real estate leasing in Connecticut,’’ Kornreich said. “Medical tenants want upscale, modern space that communicates a state-of-the-art approach to healthcare.” Kornreich negotiated the purchase of the business’s former location at 2590 Main St. in Stratford in 2016.
