Babineaux joins Beacon Communities as associate general counsel of property management

Boston, MA According to Beacon Communities, an industry leader in affordable, market and mixed income property development, Justin Babineaux has joined Beacon as associate general counsel of property management. Most recently, Babineaux served as staff attorney at Columbia Residential, where he managed and oversaw legal matters relating to fair housing and regulatory compliance.

In his new role, Babineaux will serve as primary legal support for the property management team in all legal aspects of the ownership and management of affordable and mixed-income housing communities. Reporting to Beacon’s general counsel, Babineaux will provide legal guidance on issues and various areas of law impacting the operation of Beacon’s properties. In addition, he will monitor regulatory developments and identify changes to ensure compliance.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Justin to our team,” said Nicole Clement, Beacon’s general counsel. “He brings with him an impressive resume, and we are excited to add his expertise to our team.”

Prior to his role as a staff attorney at Columbia Residential in Atlanta, Babineaux worked at U.S. Housing and Urban Development in Atlanta, first as a legal intern in the office of fair housing and equal opportunity, and then as a trial attorney at the office of regional counsel, in the litigation division.

Babineaux holds a JD from Georgia State University College of Law, and a BA from Georgia State University.
