Banani represented the buyer of the townhouse, located at 15 Commonwealth Ave. Situated on the first block of Commonwealth Ave. across from the Boston Public Garden, the property was previously utilized as the offices and meeting facilities of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society. The property features approximately 15,000 s/f of living space, seven marble fireplaces and elaborate woodwork.
"This notable sale is a reflection of Lili's leadership and dedication to her customers and clients. It is also a sign that there is strong confidence in the luxury real estate market," said Ken Tutunjian, sales manager of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
Designed by the architectural firm Snell and Gregerson, 15 Commonwealth Ave. was built in 1867 as the home of ship owner William Dudley Pickman and his wife, Caroline (Silsbee) Pickman. The home was later purchased by entrepreneur and railroad investor Oliver Ames and his wife, Elise Alger (West) Ames.
In 1946, Frederick Bashaw purchased the townhouse and converted it from a single-family dwelling into a school to be operated by the Boston Business Institute.
"This is truly a magnificent property. My clients appreciate the unique opportunity of owning such a stunning historic property in one of the most sought-after block of Commonwealth Avenue. The property is going to be restored to a magnificent single-family home, as it used to be," said Banani.
With expertise in marketing and selling luxury properties, Banani is a consistent top-producing sales associate. She ranks among the top 50 sales associates of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England.
