Bangert and Gubner of RHYS handle in 11,505 s/f lease - represnt landlord, a JV of Westport Capital Partners LLC and Forstone Capital

Stamford, CT RHYS, a full service commercial real estate firm, completed a new lease signing at 9 West Broad St. with Waypoint Residential, a real estate investment firm that now brings the building to 80% occupancy.

In the recent deal, Waypoint signed a long-term lease for 11,505 s/f that occupies almost half of the eighth floor. The tenant plans to move into the premises in the late second quarter of this year. The landlord is currently building out the space.

RHYS’ Christian Bangert and Cory Gubner represented the landlord, a joint venture between affiliates of Westport Capital Partners LLC and Forstone Capital. Edward Tonnessen of Jones Lange LaSalle represented the tenant, Waypoint Residential.

“Waypoint Residential will be a tremendous addition to the 9 West Broad tenant roster and will more than double their office s/f from their current location on the south end of Stamford,” said Christian Bangert, senior vice president and principal of RHYS, which is the exclusive leasing agent for the building.

“9 West Broad St. has turned into an extremely successful office building repositioning within the CBD and continues to attract some of the best companies in the market,” said Cory Gubner, president and CEO of RHYS. “The leasing velocity we have accomplished at the building has outperformed the market by a long shot and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.”
