Bangert and Mirkov of RHYS Commercial lease 13,500 s/f

20 East Elm Street - Greenwich, CT 20 East Elm Street - Greenwich, CT

Greenwich, CT RHYS Commercial, a full-service commercial real estate firm, were the sole brokers in a lease for 13,500 s/f of retail space at 20 East Elm St. Senior vice president & principal Christian Bangert and senior associate Sean Mirkov were the sole brokers involved in the transaction that will help expand Saks’ presence even further in Greenwich.

“We are truly excited to announce this recent transaction with Saks and to be able to help accommodate their future growth needs,” said Bangert. “Saks had very limited options to expand in their existing location on Greenwich Avenue without significantly disrupting their day-to-day business. 20 East Elm St. allows them the ability to construct a modern, first class retail installation for their new women’s shoe store location, while also giving them flexibility to then redesign their existing location when necessary.”

“Greenwich is a world class location for high end retailers and arguably one of the best suburban markets in the entire country. Saks’ desire to grow in the market is proof that Greenwich remains a top destination for the world’s best retailers,” said Cory Gubner, president & CEO of RHYS Commercial.

Saks will occupy the entire ground floor of 20 East Elm St. The space was previously home to Urban Outfitters, who vacated in the first quarter of 2015. The building has been owned by local Greenwich residents since early 2012.
