Barkan Management promotes Moore and Hughes

Boston, MA According to Barkan Management president Bill DiSchino, Ralph Moore, who has been with Barkan for over a decade, was recently promoted to senior portfolio manager. With experience in a variety of association management roles, including site manager for the Residences at the Continental on the Boston waterfront, Moore will oversee a portfolio of condominiums, notable among them historic Longwood Towers in Brookline. Andrew Hughes, was also promoted to senior portfolio manager. Hughes, who manages a diverse portfolio of community associations throughout New England, will assume expanded responsibilities, including management of the Louisquisset Country Club Condominium, a 409-unit association golf community in Providence, RI.

Also, Jason Powell has joined the Barkan organization as a portfolio manager. With nine years of experience and as the holder of a Certified Manager of Community Associations designation, Powell has been assigned an initial portfolio of five communities in the Greater Boston area.

“All three of these staff members represent the next generation at Barkan and fully meet our standard for experience, skill and professionalism. We’re proud of them and their wholehearted commitment to client service,” said DiSchino.

Barkan Management is one of New England’s premier managers of community association properties. With a staff of 600 the company serves over 100 associations representing upwards of 21,000 residential units located throughout the New England states and Greater Washington DC. In line with its goal of expanding its service area in 2015, the company has established an office in Southeastern Massachusetts/Cape Cod, and plans to open an office in White Plains, NY before the end of the year.
