Barkan Mgmt. expands portfolio in Metro Boston

Boston, MA Barkan Management Company, an industry leader in property management with 192 properties under management in seven states, has secured a management contract for a mixed-use condominium located on the Roxbury-Jamaica Plain border. Barkan is providing a full spectrum of management services to 1785 Columbus Condominium Trust, a seven story, 133,223 s/f commercial condominium.

1785 Columbus was developed by Watermark LLC, which is a joint venture between Horizons for Homeless Children and Watermark Development Inc. Formerly the site of a vacant warehouse, the location was identified as a high-need area for Horizon’s services.

The organization will occupy several floors of the new building, with a move-in date of early to mid 2021.

Jerry Meaney, vice president and regional director, will serve as account executive and will oversee the day-to-day management.

“We are pleased to secure this full services management contract and expand our portfolio of commercial/mixed use condominiums in Metro Boston,” said Meaney. “We look forward to meeting and working with the tenants in this beautiful new building and anticipate a very successful, multi-year partnership.”
