Baybutt Construction Corp. is serving as construction manager for the city's new $6 million central fire department on Vernon St. The architect for the 15,725 s/f project is Northern Architects Collaborative, and has a scheduled completion date of June 2012.
Baybutt Const. recently completed New Hampshire's first LEED Accredited fire station for the city of Portsmouth, station #2. The station located at 3010 Lafayette Rd. (Rte. 1) received LEED Silver Accreditation. The project was designed by Winter Street Architects.
In another Keene project, Baybutt Const. has been selected as construction manager for the new Monadnock Community Market in Railroad Sq. The 14,000 s/f cooperative store is being designed by Scully Architects for Monadnock Economic Development Corp. and is scheduled to be open for next year's local harvest.
Baybutt is also building the new $10 million Brattleboro Food Coop on Main St. in Brattleboro. The new 4-story facility will replace the existing coop and will also include 31 apartments on the top two floors. The project was designed by Gossens Bachman Architects and is scheduled for a spring 2012 completion.
