Bergin of George J. Smith & Son leases to Ruby Slippers Day Spa
John Bergin, senior vice president of George J. Smith & Son Commercial and Investment Real Estate, Milford, has signed a lease at 40 Broad St. to Ruby Slippers Day Spa. Ruby Slippers has relocated from its former space of approximately seven years to a larger building.
Bergin represented both the owner and the tenant. Ruby Slippers operates as a unique and private day spa, like no other spa in the area. They take a holistic approach to their renowned facials. In addition to facials, their other services include: light therapy for youthful looking skin, body scrub, body treatment, and several different types of body massage.
Bergin has been active in the real estate industry for the past 15 years and joined George J. Smith & Son after a successful corporate career in Fairfield County with a major information systems corporation.
Wallingford, CT O,R&L Commercial has completed the $3.8 million sale of a mixed-use investment property located at 33-39 North Main St. and 24-25 Wallace Ave. in the town center.

Now what? As the year comes to a close, the state of retail is always in the news. The answers vary greatly depending on who in the various related industries you ask, each offering a unique lens on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
