Konover Development Corporation was recently presented with the Real Estate Exchange's Community Spirit Award. The Exchange's annual Awards & Developer's Showcase was held at the Connecticut Convention Center and Deb Kern, project manager, was on hand to accept the honor. The Community Spirit Award recognizes those developers who embody the warmth and dedication it takes to ensure each project is a perfect fit for its neighbors.
This year, Konover Development received the Spirit Award for their outstanding work on the new Walgreens in Windsor Locks. "We would like to thank Patrick McMahon, the Windsor Locks director of economic development, for time he spent with our associates preparing the joint award application," said Stan Glantz, executive vice president and chief operating officer. "This honor means a great deal to Konover as we approach each and every project, not only as an investment, but as a genuine opportunity to work closely with town staff and neighbors."
Konover Development celebrated the grand opening of the new Elm St. Walgreens on March 5th. An official ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a reception marked the event.
This Walgreens is particularly significant as it marks the beginning of Windsor Locks' downtown redevelopment initiative. Konover Development continues to strive to design and construct high quality, community-oriented projects in the northeast and the mid-Atlantic.
