Bierbrier Development, Inc., handled the recent lease signings and openings of major national chains at two of its centers: KFC/Taco Bell at Haverhill Walgreens Plaza and Massage Envy at Arlington Village Shops.
In August, KFC/Taco Bell opened a 3,300 s/f restaurant with drive-through service at Bierbrier's Haverhill Plaza. KFC/Taco Bell signed a 20-year lease with four 5-year renewal options. Larry Richards, of RE/MAX Properties represented Bierbrier Development and Peter Schaap, of Yum! Brands, Inc. of Louisville, Ky., represented KFC/Taco Bell in the lease signing.  KFC/Taco Bell joins other retail tenants including Walgreens, Blockbuster, Aspen Dental, FedEx/Kinkos, and Edible Arrangments at the fully leased Haverhill center, which underwent a $5.3 million redevelopment by Bierbrier in 2006.
Concurrently, Bierbrier announced that Massage Envy opened a 3,300 s/f location at Arlington Village Shops in Arlington, Mass. Massage Envy Limited, LLC has signed a 5-year lease with two 5-year options to renew at Bierbrier's 21,666 s/f Arlington shopping center located on Massachusetts Ave. In reaching the lease agreement, Piche represented the owner, and Matt Curtin, retail leasing broker for the Dartmouth Cos. represented Massage Envy.
Massage Envy joins Panera Bread and Jenny Craig at Arlington Village Shops. The health and wellness company has over 790 locations nationwide, including five in Mass. Massage Envy was on the Inc 500 in 2007 as one of America's fastest growing companies, and according to their Web site, the Massage Envy mission is to provide affordable and accessible massage therapy nationwide.
