Raymond, NH For Jewett Construction, 2017 has been marked by rapid growth and revenue greater than that of any other year in the company’s 45 year history. To meet the needs of his growing company, president Craig Jewett knew that he had to reinforce the accounting processes with the hiring of Gregg Blair as chief financial officer.
Jewett said, “We are a different company than we were even just two or three years ago. We are managing more projects, in more industries, with more employees than ever before. We brought in Gregg as CFO because we needed more horsepower to forecast and manage our accounting department.”
Blair joined the Jewett executive team in the second half of 2017.
Blair brings more than 20 years of finance, accounting and operational management experience to Jewett. Prior to joining Jewett, he ran the U.S. accounting department for one of the larger homebuilders in North America but was ready for a change. “I had been working from home and travelling to corporate offices in Florida and Colorado. I was ready for a new opportunity,” he said. “When I met the team at Jewett Construction, I could tell that I was going to be a part of an organization that was committed to quality and excellence with a focus on strategic growth. It is really exciting.”
Blair is tasked with improving Jewett Construction’s financial forecasting, to streamline spending, and to improve processes throughout the organization. Craig Jewett adds, “Gregg has already made a huge impact on our company in many ways. We are lucky to have him.”
