Boston, MA BOMA Boston held the Building the Future of CRE: How Proptech is Transforming the Industry Roundtable on March 26^th. Moderated by Jennie Brennan, vice president, property management, Newmark, attendees learned how property technology is transforming the commercial real estate industry, the future of Boston real estate, and sustainability of building’s property management. Panelists, Monica Trivedi, SVP, global client services, building engines, a JLL Company; Steve Dietz, VP of product, HqO; and Adam Hastings, chief data officer, Hines spoke to how companies are utilizing property technology to enhance their buildings and overall management. On April 3^rd, just under 350 BOMA members and guests came together for the Annual BOMA Benefit to support their charitable partner, Bridge Over Troubled Waters. The event, held at the UMass Club in Boston, transported attendees to springtime in Paris with floral design by Cityscapes Boston and French inspired appetizers created by the club’s chef. The program was kicked off by BOMA president Clayton Wentworth and attendees heard from Bridge spokesperson on how impactful their contributions are to the youth of Bridge. BOMA Boston thanks all those who sponsored, bought raffle tickets, donated raffle prizes and made direct donations!

The BOMA Boston Membership Committee looks forward to hosting fellow BOMA members and prospective members at Top Golf in Canton on Wednesday, April 10^th. BOMI: Environmental Health & Safety Issues will start on Tuesday, April 23^rd and conclude on Thursday, May 16^th. The class will be taught by Brendan Reilly of ATI Restoration and takes place via Zoom from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Environmental Health and Safety Issues presents best practices for developing and managing an effective environmental health and safety program. You will learn about the regulatory process and how it affects facilities. Compliance with laws and regulations is a key focus. Registration is open for BOMA Foundations, held Fridays, April 26^th – May 31^st at 3 Center Plaza. A soup-to-nuts, seven-module, 30-hour, entry-level course, covering the fundamentals of commercial real estate administration, management, building systems, accounting and reporting, contract management and more. Seasoned industry professionals will teach each module and participants will have the opportunity to get feedback in this live setting. Participants will also partake in four building tours.
