BOMA Boston Update – BOMA Fishing, BOMA Golf & BOMI

Boston, MA The Annual BOMA Fishing Tournament was held on Friday, June 7^th out of Liberty Wharf and was followed by an Awards Luncheon at Tony C’s. With 22 boats and 116 guests, they navigated the Boston Harbor and beyond to catch a total of 179 fish! A big thank you to Stanley Elevator for sponsoring the tournament again this year! BOMA members and guests will once again take the greens down at Pinehills Golf Club on Monday, July 8^th for the Annual BOMA Golf Tournament. Thank you to our Tournament Sponsor, C&W Services. BOMI: The Design, Operation, and Maintenance of Building Systems, Part II class will take place on Tuesdays and Thursday’s starting on September 10^th and will conclude on October 3^rd. Class will be held virtual on Zoom from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and will be taught by David Thompson, director of engineering, Newmark. The Design, Operation, and Maintenance of Building Systems, Part II is for property and facilities managers who need to make management decisions about various building systems and sites. Your decisions will increase occupant safety and comfort while facilitating building efficiency to meet the business goals of an organization. Critical topics in this course include electrical systems and lighting, elevator maintenance and modernization, pest and solid waste management, security issues, fire and life safety systems, and energy management concerns. BOMA Boston will host a Connect with BOMA Breakfast Tuesday, October 8^th, at Chrome Gym (1 Center Plaza, Boston) 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. The Connect with BOMA Breakfast is designed for current, new and prospective members to learn more about committee involvement, networking opportunities, BOMI course offerings, and how to become more involved with BOMA.
