BOMA Boston update: Property Management Excellence Roundtable, Connect with BOMA Breakfast, Ski Trip and BOMA Benefit

Boston, MA On January 26th, over 90 members joined BOMA for our first roundtable of 2023. The Roundtable, Property Management Excellence featuring 2022 TOBY & Industry award winners, took place at Rockhill Management’s 100 High St. space. Jennifer Twombly, 2023 BOMA Boston president?and general manager, Rockhill Management moderated the program and?the 2022 TOBY & Industry winners participating on the panel included: Erin Bump, senior property manager, CBRE; Joe Karoly, assistant vice president-asset services, Alexandria Real Estate Equities; Harrison Smith, senior property manager, Rockhill Management; and Matt Sargent, chief engineer, C&W Services. They?shared stories and insights about how to maximize building efficiency and how to run a cohesive team. They also shared property management tips and tricks, their roles in their properties and teams, and what their careers have looked like in property/facilities management. The event was sponsored by Cannistraro, 2022 TOBY & Industry Awards Affiliate Company of the Year recipient.

Join BOMA on Tuesday, February 14th for the Connect with BOMA Breakfast being held at the Chrome Gym (1 Center Plaza, Boston) from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Members and prospective members can meet the BOMA Board, network with BOMA members and learn how to get more involved and make the most of your BOMA membership. This event is complimentary to BOMA Boston members and prospective members.

On Friday, February 17th BOMA Boston is hosting our Annual Ski Trip at Loon Mountain! Close to 100 members and guests will be hitting the slopes with an all-day?ski?lift ticket, followed by an après ski reception. This sold-out event is a favorite for our members. 

BOMA is excited to share that we are holding our annual BOMA Benefit, a night to support charitable partner, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, on Thursday March 16th. The event is being held from 5:30 -8:30 pm at the UMass Club (1 Beacon), Boston. Sponsorships and individual tickets are available. We are looking forward to a great night to support such a great cause. 

BOMA Foundations of Real Estate Management will begin on March 3rd, and will take place for five consecutive Fridays in March from 9:00am – 3:00pm, until March 31st. For more information contact Heather Thifault, [email protected]

BOMA’s partnership with BOMI International remains strong. Through educational offerings, BOMA members and non-members learn from senior professionals in the commercial real estate industry to work towards earning their RPA or FMA designations, or PAC or PMFP certifications. The full calendar of BOMI Designation Courses will be announced soon with Ethics is Good Business is being held on March 1st and Design Operations and Maintenance Of Building Operations will begin mid-March.
