BOMA Boston Update: Webinars, educational offerings, TOBY & Industry Awards

May 01, 2020 - Owners Developers & Managers

Boston, MA BOMA Boston and the Massachusetts Apartment Association are presenting a webinar on May 7th. Lara Heacock will share a presentation on “Managing Stress in Difficult Times,” walking participants through learning their individual stress signs. For more information, visit the BOMA Boston website. We hope you can join us!

BOMA has been hosting virtual coffee breaks with our members to keep our members connected at this time. BOMA Board members lead the conversation about timely topics and what is going on with people while we can’t be together. These will be held weekly or bi-weekly throughout the Spring.

BOMA Boston’s partner, Green Building Education Services (GBES), is offering a LEED GA exam prep class and a WEEL AP exam prep class this month. The online live LEED Green Association Exam Prep Class is 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Wednesdays May 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th. The online live WELL AP Exam Prep Class is 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Thursdays May 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th

Are you interesting in submitting a TOBY this year? The Annual TOBY & Industry Awards are held in November of each year, but the submission process starts NOW! The BOMA Boston TOBY Tutorial can be found on the TOBY website, www.bomabostontoby.com. Check this out for an in-depth, step-by-step instruction on the TOBY Awards submission process. On April 22nd, Joel Corley the director of BOMA 360 at BOMA International held a webinar on BOMA360. Studies show that buildings that participate in BOMA360 have a higher chance at moving on in the Regional and International competitions for the TOBY Awards! To view the recorded webinar, visit the BOMA Boston TOBY website.

BOMA is happy to announce the regional TOBY winners: 160 Gould St., Cushman & Wakefield; 125 Summer St., Oxford Properties; 225 Franklin St., Oxford Properties; and Center at Corporate Drive, CBRE. Congratulations! We will be rooting for you at the International Competition! For any questions about the TOBY Submission process, contact Kayla Burmeister, [email protected]
