The area offers a diverse array of free public events including outdoor markets, a summer camp-themed edition of The Current, family-friendly activities, community fitness classes, and the return of Cisco Brewers Seaport.

Seaport Sweat

Boston’s biggest free outdoor workout series turns ten this summer. Sponsored by Mass General Brigham Health Plan, Seaport Sweat returns with over 100 classes spanning HIIT, yoga, dance cardio, and strength training. To mark its 10th season, Seaport will debut Sweatapalooza on June 21, a high-energy fitness festival with top instructors, a live DJ, giveaways, and more.
Saturday classes highlight Seaport Sweat alum Eliza Shirazi, Bron Volney, and Kelly Brabants, and feature pop-ups from fitness favorites including Remedy Place, Rhone, Lululemon, and Alo Yoga. Expect invigorating sessions and surprise giveaways that spotlight the best in Boston’s fitness scene.

Green City Growers brings a taste of the garden to the Seaport with The Superette Herb Garden. Each Thursday, guests are invited to harvest their own sprigs of basil, mint, dill, and cilantro while learning about hyper-local urban agriculture. No registration required, just show up and snip.
After harvesting, stop by Borrachito for the “Herb Your Enthusiasm” cocktail made with herbs from the garden. $1 from every drink supports Boston Children’s Museum’s Fenway Farms program.

The event has moved to Harbor Way to offer more space for shopping, lounging, and socializing.

Seaport Smalls is a weekly outdoor event series designed for kids ages 0–8, offering a rotating lineup of free programming like music, movement, live animals, storytelling, and more. From Curious Creatures’ hands-on wildlife education to joyful music sessions with Little Groove and Mr. Aaron, there’s something for every young family to enjoy. Programming partners include Spanish Fun Program, Wiggles & Giggles, Music at the Blissful, Davey the Clown, and Jungle Jim.
Guests can enjoy refreshments available for purchase from Blue Bottle Coffee and Lakon Paris Patisserie. In the event of inclement weather, programming moves indoors to The Paseo at 111 Harbor Way. Convenient parking is available at Harbor Way Garage.

Inspired by their destination bayfront location in Duxbury, Island Creek Oysters brings the Island Creek Raw Bar to Boston’s Seaport. The 20,000 sq ft seasonal outdoor restaurant features oysters harvested by founder Skip Bennett, tinned fish and hand-packed caviar from their New Bedford cannery, plus seafood favorites from a Row 34 food truck led by Chef Jeremy Sewall. Designed by Stephen Martyak of studioTYAK, the Raw Bar will feature shaded picnic tables, lounge seating, and vibrant touches like fringed umbrellas and neon signage.

Ballers Boston opens this July as the city’s first padel and pickleball club, right in the heart of Seaport.
