Brown of Simon Property Group named area mall manager at Solomon Pond Mall

Simon Property Group Inc., one of the largest developers and owners of shopping malls in America, has recently announced an internal promotion in the metro west region: Ken Brown has assumed the position of area mall manager of Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough, Mass. This is in addition to his current role managing The Mall at Chestnut Hill in Chestnut Hill. In his role as area mall manager, Brown will manage day-to-day operations at the two properties, create and implement annual operating budgets, and manage maintenance, housekeeping, security, marketing, guest services and leasing of the properties. Brown has been employed with Simon Property Group for 21 years and has held a variety of positions managing enclosed malls, community centers and office buildings in Georgia, Illinois, South Carolina and Massachusetts. Brown graduated from Towson State University in Towson, Maryland. "We selected Ken to fill this integral and demanding position due to his proven management skills and experience, knowledge of the region, and also because of the enthusiasm he brings to his job each day," said Brian Jenkins, regional vice president for the New England Region of Simon Property Group.
