Bulfinch promotes DiOrio to managing director and general counsel

Boston, MA Bulfinch, a private real estate investment, development and management firm, has appointed Mark DiOrio to the expanded role of managing director and general counsel.

DiOrio joined Bulfinch in 1997 after nearly a decade practicing real estate law with Ropes & Gray LLP. With more than 20 years at Bulfinch, DiOrio has overseen the company’s legal affairs, as well as played key and valued roles in asset management and development.

“We are thrilled to recognize Mark’s significant contributions to Bulfinch over the past two decades as well as his increased role in implementing Bulfinch’s strategy and growth with this promotion,” said Eric Schlager, CEO. 

“Mark has demonstrated his proactive leadership, overseeing a number of key projects and initiatives including our Cambridge developments, advancements in business processes and improvements to our corporate and HR practices and culture.”

DiOrio received his bachelor of arts in English from Colgate University and JD from Duke University School of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts, and NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association. DiOrio is also actively involved in several community organizations including Envision Alewife, The City of Cambridge Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment Task Force and The Winchester Community Music School.
