Buonocore of Buena Vista R.E. Co. brokers 5,000 s/f restaurant lease

The restaurant known most famously as Goldy's then the Gridlock Grill recently opened with a new lessee/management team as The New London Diner at 566 Colman St. Ann Buonocore of The Buena Vista Real Estate Company was the broker in the 5,000 s/f lease transaction. Buonocore said the calls of interest for this location were overwhelming. The 200-seat New London Diner is located about 1/10th of a mile off I-95 affording easy access off and on the highway for travelers as well as providing an easily accessible site for local New Londoners and abutting shoreline towns. The new lessee/management team has a strong background in full-service diner food preparation and management. Along with financial qualifications, we are always looking for a match of level of experience, so the deal is hopefully good for the long term for all parties including the customer. As Buonocore grew up in New London, she said she is glad she had the opportunity to round out the mix of fast food establishments typically located on Colman St. with a classic diner-style menu. The Goldstein Family did such a fabulous job for years operating Goldy's Family Restaurant. "I was glad to find a lessee operator to continue the tradition," Buonocore said.
