Burgess of Burgess Properties handles $4.5 million sale of Dennis K. Burke HQ building

Chelsea, MA Burgess Properties Inc. has sold the 28,000 s/f Dennis K. Burke HQ building at 284 Eastern Ave. The property sold for $4.5 million. The warehouse/distribution facility is located in Chelsea’s Airport Related Overlay District, close to Logan Airport.

Dennis K. Burke, Inc. has purchased a new, larger headquarters property in Taunton and will be relocating its HQ operations there later this spring.

The buyer, NYC-based North River LLC is an investment group. With a tenant already in hand that is currently pursuing permits through the city of Chelsea for its occupancy, North River’s plans are for a long-term hold. An affiliated entity of North River purchased, and a decade later, still owns the 400,000 s/f 175 McClellan Highway facility located in East Boston just across the Chelsea Creek from 284 Eastern Ave.

Phil Burgess of Burgess Properties, Inc. was the sole broker in the transaction.
