Callahan and Northbridge Cos.break ground on 36,000 s/f

Callahan, Inc. and Northbridge Companies recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new $6.9 million Avita Memory Care Center. In attendance were: Northbridge Cos., owner; Waypoint, owner's rep; Callahan executives and staff, construction manager; and Needham Bank executives.
This project will be a 36,000 s/f, two story wood frame structure consisting of 62 units intended for the constant care of patients with memory issues. The building is on a 4 acre parcel in Needham. It includes a commercial kitchen, a "brain gym," a beauty salon and an assembly room. Callahan is self performing all sitework on the project. The development has been underway since March and will be completed in March of 2011.
